Installing Resource Packs

Always download resource packs from trusted sources. Anything else can damage your system.

Resource packs change textures, GUI elements, and similar assets. They work on vanilla Minecraft, no mod loader required.

Steps

1. Download the resource pack. It should be a .zip file.

   On macOS, the download may arrive as a folder. Compress it back into a .zip before continuing.

2. Open your resourcepacks folder inside .minecraft:

   • Windows: %APPDATA%\.minecraft\resourcepacks
   • Linux: ~/.minecraft/resourcepacks
   • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/resourcepacks

   If you set a custom game directory, look for resourcepacks there instead.

3. Drop the resource pack .zip into the folder.

4. Launch the game and go to Options > Resource Packs. Move your pack from Available to Selected.

That's it. If everything is correct, your textures should be applied.
